Abstract

Pre-sowing treatment of flax seeds in a magnetic field increases germination energy, germination and biometric parameters of plants due to increasing rate of chemical reactions, solubility of salts and acids, permeability of cell membranes, increased transport of ions, molecules and water. Changes in these values depend on the square of the magnetic induction, its gradient, the seed velocity in a magnetic field. Based on a multifactor experiment, the optimal dose of magnetic treatment of flax seeds was determined 1.79 J·s/kg, which allowed to determine the design parameters of the device for pre-sowing treatment of flax seeds: magnetic induction 0.065 T, pole division 0.23 m, fourfold re-magnetization, seeds velocity 0.4 m/s. A device for pre-sowing treatment of seeds in a magnetic field of conveyor type has magnets made of intermetallic composite NdFeB brand N38SH. The use of this device increased the germination energy of flax seeds by 30 %, germination - by 26 %, stem length - by 10.5 %, yield of straw by 0.7 t/ha, seeds 0.79 t/ha.
