Abstract
The Program Linguistic Stimulation of Oral Expression (PLSOE) is aimed at children with Delayed Language (DL) and with Developmental Disorder of Language (DDL). Its design is visual and agile, using pictures (based on Doman's bits of intelligence). The main objective of this article is to verify its effectiveness in children with DL and DDL from three to six years old and to know the characteristics of the program. The intervention methodology used is an adaptation of Doman's original method. The methodology consists of a mixed model combining standardized tests and interviews in a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design without a control group in which 32 children between 3 and 6 years old with DL or DDL participate. The results show that with the administration of PLSOE, children with DL and DDL improve in all dimensions of language, optimizing their results if they are motivated; rooting is low in all citations (2-5) except negative vocabulary (9), which means that families expect the program to have a greater effect on their children's vocabulary learning. The article concludes by stating that PLSOE is very useful in the linguistic intervention of children with DL and DDL and that children improve in all dimensions of language except socialization, so it is convenient to enhance this socialization when working with the program.
