Abstract
Silver material has been successfully synthesized using the chemical reduction method, while Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/silver composites have been successfully fabricated using the coprecipitation method. The characterization of the crystal nanostructure of the material was carried out using an XRD instrument whose results showed the appearance of diffraction peaks corresponding to the magnetic and silver (Ag) phases. The characterization results of functional groups of the samples using FTIR instruments showed that the functional group bonds produced corresponded to the wavenumber of 1362, 641, and in the range of 419-512 cm-1 correspond to Fe-O bonds the material constituents of the Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/Ag. The magnetic properties of Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/Ag materials were successfully characterized using VSM instruments. The VSM results are in the form of a hysteresis curve, which shows that the Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/silver sample had superparamagnetic properties indicated by a coercive field value close to zero. Meanwhile, the antimicrobial activities were characterized by using the diffusion method, and the results showed that the anti-microbial activities of the sample/Ag worked very well. This result was characterized by the emergence of microbial free zones around the Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/Ag sample with a significant radius.
