Abstract

In the present study, we have synthesized bimetallic Au/Pt nanoparticles based nanofluid by chemical route method by using microwave irradiation. The synthesized bimetallic nanoparticles have been characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), High resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) and Energy diffraction spectroscopy (EDS). UV-Vis shows the surface plasmon resonance at 52 nm and XRD confirm the formation of bimetallic nanoparticles. The HRTEM images of Au/Pt nanoparticles shows that most of particle are in spherical shape with a size from 20-25 nm respectively. EDS analysis exhibit that Au and Pt are present in nanofluids.
