Abstract
It is stated that systematic supervision models are more effective than traditional supervision interventions. Nevertheless, it is emphasized that an effective supervision model which used for supervising novice counselors should be focused on counseling skills and should be structured and didactic. However, it is not known whether it is used for novice counselors such supervision models or not in Indiviudal Counseling Practice course in Guidance and Counseling undergraduate programs in Turkey. In this context, the purpose of this was to introduce Microcounseling Supervision Model which can be used for novice counselors in Indiviudal Counseling Practice course in Turkey. Microcounseling Supervision Model is a structured supervision model that provides assistance with reviewing, teaching and evaluating counseling skills. When the structure of Microcounseling Supervision Model is generally evaluated, it is thought that Microcounseling Supervision Model is helpful and effective supervision model for novice counselors enrolled in undergraduate level in Turkey. Therefore, first of all, it was presented the characteristics and stages of Microcounseling Supervision Model in this study. Afterwards, the use of Microcounseling Supervision Model in Individual Counseling Practice course in Turkey were discussed in the lights of national and international literature and implications for application of the model were proposed
