Abstract

Numerous dermatologic conditions present on the hands. This article reviews, in 2 parts, the etiology, clinical manifestation, histopathologic features, and treatment of common and unusual inflammatory disorders and benign and malignant neoplasms that can be present on the hands. Part 1 concentrates in inflammatory, infectious, and unusual benign lesions. Part 2, which is to appear in a later issue, describes common benign and malignant neoplasms of the hands.
