Abstract

The 2020 pandemic has once again highlighted a number of core aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In Israel, it has served as a pretext for the formation of a national unity government capable of dealing with the health emergency. However, the agreement has again excluded the Palestinian minority and opens the possibility of a new phase of territorial annexations in the West Bank. In the Palestinian territories, the emergency adds to the structural fragility of prolonged occupation and the absence of an effective and sovereign Palestinian State.
