Abstract

The article focuses on the efficient use of the collective storytelling as a pedagogical tool in a polarized media environment in the U.S. Collective storytelling works by allowing the students to create their own dialogue that will focus on student's experience. Storytelling has been viewed advantageous because it provides an open communication on the current political issues. It provides opportunity for teachers to know their students based on their perceptions and experiences. Moreover, collective storytelling and media-making has been proven effective to build rapport and develop the critical thinking of students.
