Abstract

Possibilities of NMR technique will be illustrated by a selection of high-field NMR results on antiferromagnetic quantum spin systems, obtained at the Grenoble High Magnetic Field Laboratory. We present results for two well known systems, doped Haldane spin chain Y2BaNi1-xMg xO5 and spin-Peierls compound CuGeO3, as well as two newly studied compounds, the NaCu2O2 chain (or zigzag ladder) and the 2D dimer compound BaCuSi2O6 ("Han purple").
