Abstract

This paper applies a methodology of hermeneutical bibliographic analysis to revise the concept of "critical thinking" by updating and adapting it to digital environments, especially social media. It then reconstructs the concept of critical thinking in democratic societies, given the value in them of having media interactions that are evaluated and produced through critical thinking. It concludes with a proposal for teaching critical thinking and character (ethos) on social media.
