Rehabilitation of the bilateral below-elbow amputee by the Krukenberg procedure

Abstract

This paper describes the surgical technique of the Krukenberg procedure being applied in the Artificial Limb Centre, Pune, India. The results of 95 amputations on 56 patients are examined with respect to cause, age and sex distribution, and level of amputation.
