Abstract
On the basis of the seven case histories presented, an account is given of the clinical findings and the course (which is most frequently benign) of congenital total lift sided defect in the pericardium. The diagnosis can only be established by x ray investigation of the thorax which reveals a characteristic form and pronounced mobility of the heart. The diagnosis should be borne in mind when abnormal configuration of the heart is observed in symptom free individuals.
