Abstract

The so called web 2.0 has been considered as a blured entity for a long time, half technological fact, half social phenomenon. The complex relationship between the technical part and the resulting uses of this writable web has generated polysemous terms such as peerto- peer, commonly only refering to a small part of this concept, which in fact goes much deeper than the economic battle led by the majors of the movie and music industry as it is a substance supporting powerfull one-to-many and many-to-many way of spreading information massively and instantly among web users that short-circuits the classical networks of information diffusion with the help of various technical solutions and particular uses we will explain. © 2008 Lavoisier.
