Abstract

Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is a well-known manufacturing process to produce biomedical devices. Biomedical products have primary criteria such as biocompatibility (surface roughness and porosity level), mechanical properties (hardness), and dimension stability. In this paper, primary criteria of the biomedical product are reviewed related to an extension technique in the MIM process. This paper should complement the published review of MIM on medical devices application.
