Abstract

Protein ubiquitination is an important degradative signal, yet not all ubiquitinated proteins are degraded. Recent results reveal insights into the proteasome's strategy for integrating biophysical signals when choosing substrates for degradation. © 2009 Nature America, Inc. All rights reserved.
