Industrial hater allocation and utilization in alberta

Abstract

This paper provides an insight into the existing process of allocating water to industrial operations, the criteria used to establish allocations, and extent of licensing in the Province of Alberta, The paper also provides an overview of industrial water use as determined from water use surveys by industry type and by river basins in the province. The statistical data obtained from licenses and surveys provide valuable input to water management, planning, and other related water resource activities such as water needs forecasting. © 1983 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
