Abstract

In this first note on the larvae of the Pyrenean Rhyacophila, 5 species living in the hight valley of the " Neste d’Aure " are described and illustrated: - Rh. martynovi Mosely and Rh. meridionalis Pict., belonging to the Rhyacophila s. s.-group Döhler, - Rh. evoluta McL.; this new description shows that this species belongs to the Hyperrhyacophila-group Döhler, - Rh. angelieri Décamps and Rh. contracta McL., belonging to the Pararhyacophila-group Döhler. A key to the larval stages of the Rhyacophila of this region will be given after the description of the as yet unknown larvae. © Masson, 1965.
