Sosial dan Ekonomi NELAYAN GURITA BERDASARKAN INDIKATOR EAFM DI KABUPATEN BANGGAI LAUT

Abstract

Banggai Laut Regency is one of the regencies in Central Sulawesi that contributes a lot of octopus catches. The price of octopus in Banggai Laut Regency is quite high. But octopus fishermen are still living within limitations. On the other hand, Banggai Laut Regency fishermen are small scale fishermen who are closely related to social conflicts in fisheries. This study aims to determine the social and economic level of octopus fishermen in Banggai Laut Regency. Fisheries social and economic data are obtained through surveys, in-depth interviews and questionnaires. The social and economic conditions of octopus fishermen were analyzed using the Ecosystem Approach Fisheries Management (EAFM) approach. The analysis shows the level of sustainability domain / social aspects have a good level of sustainability and domain / economic aspects have a very good level of sustainability. Overall aspects / social and economic aspects of octopus fisheries in Banggai Laut Regency are classified as very good with the acquisition of a value of 91.
