Abstract

The research journal aims to determine: (1) the management of the principal's leadership in implementation the literacy movement at SMA N 3 Yogyakarta which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring; (2 )knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the management of the principal's leadership in implementing the school literacy movement in SMA N 3 Yogyakarta; (3) Knowing the impact of the management of the principal's leadership in implementation the school literacy movement at SMA N 3 Yogyakarta. Research subjects were the Principal, Deputy Principal, Teachers, Library Staff, and students. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The validity test of data through triangulation includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study to foster interest in reading students and produce literacy works and the growth of literacy culture among students, seen from the hobby of reading, anthology of short stories, poetry anthology, and often participating in poetry reading and other literacy work
