Respiratory assessment and management in bariatric surgery

Abstract

The prevalence of obesity and overweight is growing in adults and children worldwide. With the failure of diets and lifestyle factors, more people are looking to bariatric surgery to address this significant medical problem. Severe obesity may be associated with significant perioperative respiratory complications.
