Abstract

The study seeks to identify the predictors of success in the evaluation reports of higher education (HE) courses between 2018-2019. Mixed-methods research was used, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis applied to textual content. In the content analysis, the Descending Hierarchical Classification, Similitude Analysis and Word Cloud were performed. The results suggest predictors of success in the Didactic-Pedagogical Organization include the following: components of the teaching-learning process, characteristics of excellence within the courses, scientific expectations in training, the students, and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures. The formalization of QA as a vital element in assessments by INEP could lead to improved processes within Brazilian higher education.
