Abstract

Vitrinite reflectance depends not only on chemical maturation of the vitrinite, but also on the moisture content, which is an indication of its physical maturation. Thus, vitrinite reflectance alone cannot be regarded as a definitive parameter of maturation. © 1982 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
