Abstract

The Na(I), Zn(II) and Ni(II) complexes with quercetin have been synthesized. The composition of these compounds was established by means of elemental and thermogravimetric analyses. To study the molecular structure of synthesized compounds, many miscellaneous analytical methods, which complement one another, were used: infrared (FT-IR), Raman (FT-Raman) and electronic absorption UV/VIS spectroscopy. For studying the cytotoxic and genotoxic activity of synthesized compounds, bioreporter strain of Escherichia coli K-12 recA::gfpmut2 has been used.
