Abstract
A new species of Chaetognatha, Aphragmophora, is described for the first time for the Chilean fjords. The specimens were collected between the mouth of the Guafo and Pulluche channel, in November 2002. Noteworthy morphological differences with other relates species, such as a sharp pointed structure in the collar and fins; shape of anterior and posterior fins; position of the seminal vesicles and the presence of rounded vesicles in the caudal fin, were present. © 2006 Escuela de Ciencias del Mar Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
