Examining the Influence of Perceived Organizational Support on Employee Motivation, Job Commitment, and Organizational Loyalty in Modern Work Environments

Abstract

This is a quantitative research that used the perception of organizational support on employee motivation, job commitment, and organizational loyalty in contemporary working conditions in Pakistan. A self-administered Likert-scale questionnaire was used to gather data on a sample of 210 students who are the future participants of the workforce and analyzed using regression, multiple regression and ANOVA statistics. The findings showed that perceived organizational support greatly contributes to employee motivation with 46 percent of the variance attributed to organizational support aspects. Research results on multiple regression further indicated that emotional, instrumental, and recognition-based support are the predictors of job commitment in the employees. Further, the outcomes of ANOVA have confirmed that there are significant differences in organization loyalty among different degrees of perceived organizational support, with the higher the perceived organizational support the higher the organization loyalty. The results are consistent with the rest of the literature which confirms the vitality of organizational support in influencing positive attitude amongst employees. The research arrives on the conclusion that motivation, commitment among employees as well as long-term loyalty can be contributed under the condition of creating favorable organizational environments. Strong leadership, better recognition system, better communication, and prospects of professional growth have been recommended. Future research requirements such as extended sampling, longitudinal and examination of mediators and moderators have also been identified in the research.
