Hubungan Status Pengobatan dan Riwayat Pengobatan Sebelumnya Terhadap Keberhasilan Pengobatan Pasien TBC Usia Produktif di Kota Palembang

Abstract

ABSTRACT TB/Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that ranks among the top 10 causes of death in the world. It is reported that deaths from Tuberculosis disease globally based on the Ministry of Health's 2020 report reached 1.3 million, an increase when compared to the previous year (2019) which reached 1.2 million. About 89% of TB patients are adults, while the remaining 11% are children. The success of TB treatment is inseparable from the flow of diagnosis, the use of treatment regimens, treatment monitoring, recording and reporting, as well as treatment history. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of treatment status and also previous treatment history to the success of TB treatment in productive age in Palembang City in 2022. This study was conducted using an analytic method with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study, namely post-treatment TB patients aged 15-54 years (productive age) who seek treatment at health facilities in Palembang City. The sample in this study amounted to 4,123 people. The sampling technique chosen was total sampling with exclusion criteria. Data analysis in the study was Chi Square test. The P-value of treatment status was 0.000 and previous treatment history was 0.001, which means both < α, sehingga ada hubungan antara status pengobatan dan riwayat pengobatan sebelumnya terhadap tingkat keberhasilan pengobatan pasien TBC usia produktif di Kota Palembang Tahun 2022. Penelitian ini tidak mencakup tipe diagnosis TB dan juga lama pengobatan, karena itu masih banyaknya keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini, diharapkan pada penelitian berikutnya, dapat meneliti mengenai variabel lainnya yang berkaitan dengan penyakit TBC, misalnya peran Pengawas Minum Obat (PMO), status imunisasi BCG, tipe diagnosis, lama pengobatan, dan juga jenis fasyankes tempat berobat. Kata Kunci: TB, Status Pengobatan, Riwayat Pengobatan, Keberhasilan Pengobatan.
