Abstract
There are women, whom due to various reasons, are significantly more likely to have breast cancer in their lifetime (high-risk patients), being clinical surveillance for early detection of the disease of vital importance for them. In this article the issue is reviewed, and special emphasis is placed on imaging tests and follow-up strategies so as to ensure an early diagnosis leading to effective treatment.
