Abstract

Background/Objectives: The purpose of this paper is to study about the development of new LED bulb design. The concept of the development is to design LED light bulb to increase efficiency and reduce heat from LED bulb. This study can suggest the solution for the existing LED bulb technologies to be more reliable and economical with lower price than existing models from the perspective view point. Methods/Statistical analysis: We adapted integrated design strategy for each module. Through cases/ data analysis of existing products, we integrated design of optic module, radiation module, drive circuit module with high efficiency, and algorithm control module. The PCB design is designed with high efficiency and miniaturization by proper driving circuit design which includes power supply of lighting, current control, and wire/wireless control system. The development of optical solution has designed algorithm control such as color, temperature and proper body structure. Findings: This study is to newly design LED bulb to improve the disadvantages of existing LED lamps` functions and features. There has been a need for complementary technology to expand the commercialization of LED lighting products by improving price competitiveness and solving heat dissipation problems. The main points of this development are high efficiency with small number of LED lamps and increase of optical density by utilizing heat dissipation frame. The light diffusion area in the light casing is reduced by the volume of the heat radiation frame to increase the light density. Most LED lamps are not structurally designed for heat dissipation, which exposes shortcomings in terms of long lifetime and quality.
