Abstract

The use of learning media in addition to aids in learning, but also can increase student interest in learning. As a science student, one of the learning media used in Basic Chemistry courses is chemicals in labeled bottles. To add to the innovation of existing learning media with technological developments, a learning media development was made in the form of a reagent bottle containing chemicals labeled with a QR Code which when scanned can display information about the chemicals in it. This research is research and development. The stages carried out are analysis, design, development and evaluation. Perform a validation test of material, media and readability experts to users, namely science students. The resulting product is a reagent bottle filled with chemicals (acids and bases) labeled with a QR Code and installed on a smartphone called Bottle Chem. The results of the material, media and readability validation tests were 95.83%, 96.5% and 90.5%, respectively. The post-test results were 18.2 higher than the pre-test. It can be used that the Chemical Bottle media is declared very feasible and very good in Basic Chemistry lectures. Then also this product is able to increase students' knowledge. It is hoped that the media effectiveness test and similar development will be carried out on other chemicals.
