Abstract

Greater understanding of the cellular interactions associated with tissue factor (TF), activated factor (F) VII and TF-FVIIa complexes is likely to provide considerable clinical benefit. This article reviews current knowledge on the function and regulation of TF and its role in a range of biological processes, including hemostasis, thrombosis and inflammation. © 2007 International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
