Abstract

With the surge in environmental consciousness, the demand for energy-saving facilities in the residential sector is increasing. Thus, the role of green house with energy-saving facilities is becoming more important. However, energy-saving facilities have yet to become widely popular because of their high initial cost. To make them more popular, it is necessary to grasp quantitatively the public's preferences, in terms of energy-saving facilities, and their environmental consciousness including the effect of cost. In this study, the cost-payback-period of the energy-saving facilities which people find acceptable is analyzed using conjoint analysis and PRICE2 on the basis of a questionnaire-type survey.
