Abstract
Enuresis (bedwetting) has a negative influence on children both psychologically and socially so that it disrupts life and influences the quality of life as adults. The prevalence of enuresis is 15% at the age of 5 years, 10% at the age of 7 years and decreases to 5% at the age of 11-12 years. If enuresis is ignored and is not immediately addressed, it can cause the child to become unsure, ashamed and disturbed by his social relations. One of the methods to prevent enuresis is through hypnoparenting. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of hypnoparenting on enuresis reduction in preschool-aged children in West Ungaran sub-district, Semarang regency. This study uses a Quasi-experimental method with the OneGroup Pre-test and Post-test Design. The analysis uses the dependent t-test because the data distribution is normal. The results showed that there was a good decrease in eruneration before hypnoparenting, 1-2 weeks and 2-3 weeks, hpynoparenting was done with results (p <0.001, 95% ci = 4.042-5767), 1-2 weeks hypnoparenting ( p <0.0001, ci 95% = 1.873-2.889), and 2-3 weeks hypnoparenting was done (p = 0.0009, ci 95% = 0.135-0.817). The conclusion is that hypnorenting by giving positive suggestion to children is very effective in dealing with enuresis in preschool-aged children
