Abstract
Three new saponins were isolated from the aerial parts of Fagonia mollis. They were characterized as oleanolic acid-3-O-6'-O-methyl-β- glucuronopyranoside, oleanolic acid 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 → 3)6'-O- methyl-β-D-glucuronopyranoside and oleanolic acid 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 → 3)-6'-O-methyl-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl 28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside. The structures of these saponins were determined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
