FORMULASI DAN EVALUASI SEDIAAN SABUN KERTAS EKSTRAK ETANOL FULI BUAH PALA (Myritica fragrans Houtt)

Abstract

Antiseptics is one of recommendations in preventing the spread of covid-19 but sometimes it causes allergies, the use of soap to kill bacteria will be more effective when compared with antiseptics. Paper soap is a unique dossage form because of thin sheets easy to carry. Nutmeg's mace is a plant that contains essential oils with a distinctive aroma. The purpose of this study was to make soap preparations with the basic ingredients of nutmeg mace. Nutmeg mace extract paper soap was made in three formulas with extract concentrations of F1 5%, F2 10% and F3 15%. Soap evaluation includes organoleptic test, pH test, foam level test. Water content test and irritation test. The results of the organoleptic test showed that F1 had the highest value on the parameters of flavor, amount of foam and color. The pH of the F1 preparation was 8.2, F2 was 8.3 and F3 was 8.5. Foam heights F1 18mm, F2 23mm and F3 25mm. The results of the water content test ranged from 48.06-56.13%. and irritation test showed that all formulas did not give any irritation symptoms in volunteers.
