Abstract

Seven additions are made to the vascular flora of the Auckland Islands: Blechnum = Lomaria latifolia Colenso (B. minus of H. H. Allan non R. Br.), Agrostis stolonifera L., Deschampsia caespitosa (L.) Beauv., Luzula crinita Hook. f. var. petriana (Buch.) Edgar, Potamogeton sp., Epilobium pernitens Cockayne et Allan, and Cotula lanata × C. plumosa. The total flora comprises 228 species of which 37 are considered to have been introduced ultimately from Europe and 4 from the New Zealand mainland. The approx. 13 most successful European aliens have attributes which give them a widely recognised eminence in subantarctic and antarctic island ecosystems. © 1982 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
