Abstract
The in-vitro susceptibility 244 consecutive, non-duplicate clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa cefepime and ceftazidime was studied. Using an agar dilution method to measure susceptibility, the antibiotics showed comparable activity. The Etest and two types of agar diffusion discs were compared with the reference agar dilution method, and showed an absolute interpretive agreement value of over 95%.
