Abstract

In this work, a specialized and updated bibliographic review has been carried out, in order to have the most recent technologies that allow the development of efficient processes for the conversion of waste into biofuels, the same ones that contribute to reducing the environmental impact. An in-depth bibliographical research was carried out to know the processes of obtaining bioethanol from its shells. The results show that the success of obtaining the final product depends on an optimal fermentation, however it can be achieved in a short time of 24 hours, in addition the released results show that the mandarin peels present a better yield of ethanol, followed by the orange with a considerable proportion and finally the lemon peel with a minimal contribution.
