PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN CARA PERSALINAN: TINJAUAN LITERATUR

Abstract

The choice of method of delivery Sectio Caesarea (SC) has recently increased, especially in high-income countries. Childbirth is not always normal, so the right decision is needed. The purpose of the literature review is to find out what factors influence and obstacles found in making decisions about how to give birth by pregnant women. The research method uses a literature review through the Pubmed, Proquest and EBSCO databases. The results found14 articles related to decision making forvarious reasons for choosing the method of delivery by means ofVagina Delivery (VD) and SC. Women who chose VD reported faster recovery, while women who chose CS cited fear of labor pains with VD. Sources of information on delivery methods are generally obtained from obstetricians and midwives. The people who influence decision making are parents, spouse, friends, doctors and midwives. The role of health workers should be to provide evidence-based counseling with appropriate information according to women's needs and always involve women in decision making.
