Abstract
This study aimed to develop a valid and practical Project-Based Learning (PjBL) module for the Design and Construction course in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program at Sriwijaya University. The module was developed using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The study was conducted during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects of this research were students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program at Sriwijaya University who had completed the Design and Construction course. The research instruments included validation questionnaires (expert validation) and practicality questionnaires (one-to-one and small group trials). The material expert validation results showed a score of 96.67% (very valid), while the media expert validation obtained a score of 95.67% (very valid). The practicality test conducted with students resulted in an average score of 81.38% (very practical). The module covered theoretical materials, product design, manufacturing steps, and project-based evaluation, and was available in both printed and electronic (PDF) formats. The findings concluded that the developed module was valid and practical to be used as a supporting tool for project-based learning in the Design and Construction course. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis Project-Based Learning (PjBL) yang valid dan praktis untuk mata kuliah Rancang Bangun di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Sriwijaya. Modul dikembangkan menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2024/2025. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Sriwijaya yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Rancang Bangun. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket validasi (validasi oleh ahli) dan angket kepraktisan (uji coba one-to-one dan small group). Hasil validasi ahli materi menunjukkan skor 92,72% (sangat valid), sementara ahli media memperoleh skor 93,75% (sangat valid). Uji kepraktisan melalui uji coba dengan mahasiswa memperoleh skor rata-rata 81,38% (sangat praktis). Modul ini mencakup materi teori, desain produk, langkah pembuatan, dan evaluasi berbasis proyek, serta dilengkapi format cetak dan soft file (PDF). Simpulan penelitian menyatakan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis digunakan sebagai pendukung pembelajaran rancang bangun berbasis PjBL.
