From the vines of Wisteria brachybotrys (Leguminosae), five new oleanene glycosides, called wistariasaponineYCl,2, B3 and A2,3, together with four known ones were isolated. Their structures have been elucidated to be3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl yunganogenin C 21-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-galactopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl yunga-nogeninC 21-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-glucu-ronopyranosylwistariasapogenol B 30-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-xylopy-ranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-glucuronopyranosylwistartiasapogenol A 30-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4) and 3-O-β-D-galactopy-ranosyl-(l→2)-β-D-glucuronopyranosylwistartiasapogenol A 30-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), respectively. © 1995, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
