A reprint of Mormonism's Negro Doctrine: An Historical Overview by Lester E. Bush Jr, which appeared in Vol. 8, No. 1 (Spring 1973) of Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought is presented. Bush explores the evolutionary pattern of Mormon attitudes towards blacks.
