Femmes, Greniers et Capitaux, réveille du sommeil dogmatique

Abstract

Femmes, greniers et capitaux a tracé un double pont entre l’anthropologie et la théorie économique de l’exploitation d’une part et entre la sociologie « chaude » du fait migratoire et l’approche ethnologique de la parentèle « froide ». Il contenait une théorie de l’exploitation révolutionnaire pour le marxisme en inversant le rôle et le poids du profit et de la rente. À l’idée d’articulation des modes de production de P. P. Rey, il ajoutait la famille qui dans ses diverses formes produit le travailleur qui s’articule ensuite aux différents modes de production classiques. Ce rapport, bel et bien de production, assoit une exploitation spécifique des femmes. Du côté des migrations internationales et de l’esclavage Meillassoux a produit une théorie de l’exploitation au‑delà des murs de l’entreprise capitaliste. Il est peut‑être le penseur d’un aspect de l’exploitation et de l’historicité des sociétés que le postcolonial a cherché à atteindre en Amérique latine ou en Inde sous d’autres formes.Femmes, greniers et capitaux built two bridges, one between anthropology and economic theory about exploitation, the other between an « immediate (chaude) » sociology of migration and the « cold (froide) » ethnological approach to kin. It contained a theory of exploitation that was revolutionary for Marxism in that it inversed the role and the relative weight of profit and income (rente). To P.P.Rey’s idea of the articulation of modes of production, it added the family which in its diverse forms produces the worker which is then articulated with the different classical modes of production. This relation, well and truly one of production, lays the foundations for the specific exploitation of women. As far as international migration and slavery are concerned, Meillassoux produced a theory of exploitation beyond the walls of the capitalist enterprise. He is perhaps the thinker of an aspect of exploitation and the historicity of societies that the postcolonial has sought to attain in Latin America or India in other forms.
