Abstract

The work consists of the development and implementation of a smart system for monitoring real-time electricity consumption using smart meters and the arduino platform installed in a residence in which, through smartphone, tablet, computer, etc., the consumer will follow the monitoring of their consumption. The following proposal of this device offers new means of reducing the consumption of electricity offered to the consumer. The construction of the system is based on Arduino technology where current and voltage sensors verify the consumption in real time, through meters installed in the residence. The consumer will be able to keep track of all the electricity consumption used at the moment, in which he can see in his electricity bill his monthly consumption and have a base of the amount to be paid. The intention is to make the consumer aware of their daily and monthly consumption, thus reducing energy and adding new values and solutions for energy efficiency in the area of Electrical Engineering.
