Abstract

Destination marketing organizations (DMOs) are key players in destination crisis management. This case study applies the theoretical background regarding destination crisis management in exploring the role of DMO in managing Los Angeles as a destination. Based on an interview and documentation, the case explicates the recovery efforts led by Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (LATCB) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The case offers valuable information and important insights for destinations to manage future crises and disasters.
