Abstract

A methodology for film digitization that optimizes workflow and integrates well with the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) was developed to facilitate the integration of digital radiography (DR) and legacy film/screen technology. The resulting DR system software suite features DICOM Modality Worklist capability to provide complete radiology information system (RIS) integration functionality. © 2001 by W.B. Saunders Company.
