Abstract

The choice of roof greening substrate is the key to effective roof greening. To fully analyze the influence of different material proportions on the physical properties of the substrate, three materials, namely nutrient soil, vermiculite, and ceramsite, are selected, which are mixed with the soil in different proportions to form different roof greening substrates. By measuring the indexes including the bulk density, water absorption rate, water loss rate, and hydraulic conductivity, the variation influence of material proportions on the physical properties of the substrates is analyzed.
