Abstract

This study aims to: validate a scale measuring the support of parents, teachers and guidance counselor; and estimate the influence of types of support on students’ psychological well-being and intention to pursue their studies. 1,130 students participated in this research. Factor analyses have established that the scale consists of three types of social support. Except for the support provided by the guidance counselor, all support types have some predictive power over students’ psychological well-being and intention to pursue their studies.
