Abstract

The Cable Abstracting and INdexing System (CANIS) prototype is intended to assist the customer with cable indexing tasks. CANIS automatically extracts entity information, builds and updates index records from cables, and presents it for review. This prototype also extracts and stores relationship information and is compatible with both the input and the output systems currently being used by the customer. CANIS runs on the customer-specified hardware and software platforms.
