Abstract
The article examines the emergence of mobile live video in emergency response and its use and consequences. It mentions that mobile live video solutions enable professional response actors not only to inform someone about what is happening but also shows its specific location. These solutions are a consequence of the ongoing innovation and global diffusion of advanced consumer mobile devices. As the technology advances, mobile live video allows people in general to broadcast live video at a low cost directly from their cellphones. Meanwhile, live video can be used to on-route traffic situation update, time-critical situation reporting, and after incident documentation. Further, an overview regarding the ethical and legal concerns regarding the use of mobile live video is also discussed.
