Abstract

This paper deals with the design and performance evaluation of a multistatic radar system where target detection is performed by jointly combining the signals arising from multiple spatially dispersed transmitters and receivers. We provide some simulation results that illustrate how significant improvements in radar system performances can be achieved by exploiting the Ambiguity Function as tool for determining the target resolution capability of each channel of the multistatic system.
